We are partnering with an established manufacturing organization to identify a

Manufacturing Controller

for a key leadership position within its finance and accounting team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting leader who enjoys being close to operations, partnering with business leaders, and driving improvements in financial and operational performance.

The position combines hands-on accounting leadership with financial planning, operational analysis, and process improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong manufacturing accounting background and the ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insights.

Key

Responsibilities

Oversee month-end close, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and internal controls in accordance with US GAAP.

Manage manufacturing cost accounting, including inventory, standard costing, BOMs, labor and overhead analysis, and production variances.

Partner with operations leadership to evaluate plant performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve profitability.

Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

Analyze financial results against budgets, forecasts, and prior-year performance, providing actionable recommendations to leadership.

Oversee accounting functions, including AP, AR, fixed assets, and other financial activities.

Lead, coach, and develop accounting and finance team members.

Support ERP system improvements, financial process enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Maintain strong internal controls and coordinate internal and external audit activities.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational efficiency and business objectives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing.

Strong understanding of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.

Experience with manufacturing cost accounting, inventory, standard costing, and variance analysis.

Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis.

Ability to work closely with plant leadership and influence operational decisions.

Previous experience supervising or developing accounting professionals.

Strong ERP systems experience and advanced Excel skills.

Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

CPA or MBA preferred.
