Job Description

The Bowery Hotel, a luxury boutique hotel in lower Manhattan, is seeking a full time reservations agent for $25.59 per hour.

You will be responsible for taking reservations for room bookings via phone and email; communicating with in-house guests, potential guests, and travel agents; taking room service orders; and assisting guests in general as a member of our Guest Services team.

Customer service, personal assisting, travel industry, administration or production experience is a must. Ability to work in a high volume environment with a calm and cool demeanor is essential. This is a position where details matter and communication is key.

Existing Hotel and OPERA property management system experience is very strong plus.
Answering all incoming calls in a promptly, professional and efficient manner.
Attention to detail when entering reservations, noting requests, managing VIP's is crucial.
Entering group rooming lists in accordance with Group Blocks.
Research Daily Arrivals
Communicate with the Front Office, Back of House and Sales Team to ensure streamlined service for all guests.
Processing in-room dining phone orders from in-house guests.
PBX duties
Written communication with guests and potential guests via email
Other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.

- Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.

College course work in Hotel/Hospitality field helpful.
